Try an Autumnal woodland walk
We’re privileged to have our parks situated in the most beautiful places in the UK; North Wales and the Lake District. Both locations are of course fantastic for seasoned ramblers and those who love a gentle stroll to take in the beauty of Autumn. If you’re staying at one of our Barmouth Parks this Autumn, the beautiful Cadair Idris is a fantastic mountain to climb with beautiful sea views for the more seasoned climbers, but there are also plenty of low impact walks too such as the Panorama walk. You can stay at either Caerelwan or Sunnysands however Sunnysands shuts it’s doors on the 12th November. If you’re staying at Manor House, you’ll also have the Lake District on your doorstep, where you can really see the beauty of Autumn especially at Grizedale Forest. Or why not check out Clocaenog Forest, near to Woodlands Hall? which was voted the best forest in the UK during Autumn months!

Autumn fishing
New season, new fishing opportunities! Autumn is a fantastic time to start fishing on the coast as the UK welcomes many migratory species to it’s waters. If you’re in one of our Barmouth parks then one of the best spots is right over the Barmouth bridge where you can catch bass, whiting, flounder,dab, dogfish, mullet and garfish. Rhyl Harbour (otherwise known as the Splash Point) is also a very popular fishing location if you’re in Robin Hood, Winkups or Oakfield where you can catch all sorts including Whiting, flounder and even codling.
