A simple guide to ensuring you have all the essentials while you’re packing for your 2022 summer holiday!
Wondering what to take with you when you head to your well-deserved and much-longed-for summer break this year? Don’t worry, we have you covered!
We know the excitement can often take over in the weeks before your holiday, which is why we’ve compiled a list of must-haves for any break with Lyons Holiday Parks.
Seaside Holiday Guide to Packing
- Clothes
With the wealth of activities available both on our parks and in the local area, we recommend bringing enough clothes for all sorts of adventures. That’s the beauty of caravan holidays – no restrictions on luggage! If you do need to turn over your wardrobe, it’s no stress, as there are laundrettes on the majority of our holiday parks.
Although we can promise family fun, glorious coastal views, and lots to see and do, we cannot guarantee sunshine. We are in North Wales after all, and the weather can be highly unpredictable. Don’t let the forecast catch you out and ensure you pack for both the scorching sunny days and bitter rainy ones!
Remember that no two days are the same, so bring plenty of comfy day clothes and hoodies, as well as some more glamorous option s
- Footwear
Don’t forget your flip flops – there’s absolutely nothing worse than sand dunes formulating in your shoes. And of course, daytime and evening shoes for when you party at our fabulous entertainment venues here on-park.
- Seaside Essentials
Pack a beach towel, swimsuit, sunglasses, sun cream, after-sun, and sun hat in preparation for those sunny days at the beach!
We also recommend bringing a deck chair or two which you can take to the beach, or use outside your holiday home to make the most of that summer sun. Beach mats are also very handy, as are coolboxes and the classic Tupperware for all your beachside treats!
Countryside Holiday Guide to Packing
Essentials
- Clothes & Footwear
Again, pack with the weather in mind! You will likely want to explore the incredible countryside surroundings, so remember to pack waterproofs, walking boots, and wellies. You could always be super organised and plan what you’re going to get up to in advance to avoid that unnecessary load.
Toiletries
Keep it fresh and go prepared! Remember to pack all your toiletries to avoid that tedious trip to the shops on your arrival, so you can kick start your fun-filled or relaxing getaway right away.
- Shower gel
- Shampoo and conditioner
- Hairbrush and hair bands
- Wet wipes
- Hand Sanitiser
- Makeup
- Toothbrush and toothpaste
- Deodorant
- Perfume
- Insect repellent
Electronics
We’re in the year 2021, where we now depend on electronic equipment to get by and make our lives easier (for example, giving the children the iPad for 5 minutes of peace and quiet). Here are some of the items you might forget…
- Phone
- Camera
- eBook
- Hair Dryer
- Selfie stick
- Headphones
- Tablet
Other items to bear in mind when you’re packing
- Playing cards
- Picnic basket and blanket
- Puzzles and board games
- Sketchbook
- Travel first aid kit
- Snacks for the journey
Just in case you need reminding, bring your phone chargers, cameras, tablets, and of course, your phones! Upon check-in, why not have a browse on our Facebook or Instagram park page to keep up-to-date with the latest events, and to check in at that location (because a holiday isn’t a real holiday without letting your online friends know you’re away…)
Our mission at Lyons Holiday Parks is to make your holiday as stress-free as possible, which is why we provide all of the day-to-day essentials you’ll need for a caravan holiday. This includes linen and bedding, pots and pans, plates, cups and cutlery, and even washing up liquid, which you’ll find in your newly-cleaned, spic and span caravan when you arrive.
Please note that you will need to bring your own toiletries (hand soap, shampoo etc are not provided) as well as your own shower towels, and your own food and drink (such as tea and coffee or bedtime snacks.)
Park maps and other useful information will be provided upon check-in and if you need anything else, don’t hesitate to contact reception!
