Surrounding the park is some fantastic scenery of both the natural and historic kind. The park sits right at the foot of Mynydd y Dref with a short walk to Penmaenmawr Beach. There is also plenty of historic monuments to marvel at including Conwy Castle and Cefn Coch Stone Circle.

Named after the Penmaenmawr mountain, there are plenty of beautiful views over the Irish Sea that you can access through the many walking paths available here, with Anglesey and Puffin Island in the distance.
Penmaenmawr and the wider Conwy are is embroiled in a rich history. The Penmaenmawr uplands especially have been found to have prehistoric remains of a polished axe factory on Cwm Graiglwyd, and the Meini Hirion ( Druid’s Circle)is a prehistoric stone circle that’s well worth a visit
Penmaenmawr is a quaint town with a homely charm, and there is plenty of sites to see here and in the local area especially in nearby Conwy.
