Almost 100 years ago all the way back in 1924, Joe William Lyons founded the first Lyons Holiday Park in Rhyl. Now 98 years later in 2023 the Lyons group has gone from strength to strength, occupying over 20 parks across North Wales and The Lake District.
Almost 4000 owners come back to the Lyons family every year, and this number continues to grow. Here at Lyons, you’re not just a customer, you’re part of our family. That familial feeling people get when they come here is reason people choose us, and the reason we’ve been able to build our business to the size it is today.
When we say we’re a family, we really mean it. Our business is still family owned, with the great grandsons of founder Joe William Lyons, now at the helm. Working hard to maintain the family values that Lyons was founded on, and giving our customers the best of British Holidaymaking at the best price.
Every family has a place they call home, and we intend to make Lyons your second home. To make cherished memories with your beloved family and making lifelong friendships with everyone here at Lyons.

There are many natural and historic attractions that you can enjoy within the town and in the surrounding areas. The Kinmel Dunes Nature Reserve is one of them, being accessible to wheelchair users, it’s a 1 mile circular walk that’s flourishing with nature and also passes the beach.
There is plenty of history in the local area. The old Roman path; Offas Dyke starts in nearby Prestatyn with old Roman baths visible from here too. There is also plenty of castles here with Rhuddlan Castle, Gwyrch Castle and Conwy Castle all within a short drive.
