Woodlands Retreat, a delightful, detached holiday home rests upon the semi-rural Lyons Woodlands Hall Caravan Park in Llanfwrog near Ruthin, Denbighshire.

Park up, unload your belongings and cross the threshold into Woodlands Retreat, arriving to a bright and airy atmosphere.
The living/dining room is the perfect place to relax and admire views out to the garden, complete with an electric fire ideal for lighting on cooler evenings.
If you feel like staying in and cooking, the kitchen/diner is well-equipped, or head to the on-site bar and restaurant to dine out.
Spend your evenings soaking up the last of the sunshine in the rear, woodland garden, enjoying views of the Welsh Mountain Range, where you can dine alfresco, light the barbecue, and enjoy a dip in the private hot tub. When it’s time to rest, retreat to one of the four bedrooms, choosing from a king-size with en-suite walk-in shower, a double, a ground-floor double, and a twin.

Welcome to our remarkable stone-built country farmhouse, aptly named The Farmhouse. Boasting delightful views of the Cardigan Bay and Mountains of Snowdonia, this grand farmhouse is in the quaint coastal village of Tal y Bont, just outside of the infamous seaside resort of Barmouth. With a plethora of activities and attractions to do nearby, our extensively refurbished farm house is the perfect way to enjoy the best of staycations.
A mere 10-minute stroll from the Rural Beach Award-winning beach, this charming retreat features six inviting bedrooms, two of which include en-suites, alongside a corner spa bath and spacious showers. Welcome to The Barn, The latest luxury holiday cottage added to the Lyons collection. Our picturesque detached barn conversion sits within our holiday park; Tyddyn Goronwy which gives you access to the many on park facilities available.
Step inside this welcoming abode, where the layout cleverly places the bedrooms downstairs for utmost cosiness, while the living space awaits you upstairs. As you enter, be greeted by an inviting entrance hallway adorned with a soaring double-height ceiling, an open oak staircase, and ample natural light filtering through the glazing.
The bedrooms on this level are each equipped with wall-mounted Smart TVs and generous storage space. You’ll also find a double room, single room and a master king-size bedroom with zip/link beds – so whether you want a twin room or a kingsize double – the choice is yours! You’ll also benefit from a spacious bathroom with a bathtub and shower as well as another single toilet room.
Venture upstairs to the expansive living area boasting high ceilings, exposed A-frame beams, and a cosy sitting area furnished with two sofas facing a Smart TV, complemented by an electric wood burning effect stove. Nearby, engage in some entertainment with the pool table or gather around the large dining table for enjoyable mealtimes.

What is the cancellation policy?
It may be necessary to cancel your holiday due to illness, accident or change of circumstances. Please note that if you have made a newspaper promotional booking and you choose to cancel your holiday no refund will be made.
As soon as you know you need to cancel, call the park directly or confirm the cancellation in writing to Bookings Department, Lyons Holiday Parks Head Office, Coast Road, Rhyl, LL18 3UU. The letter must be signed by the person who made the booking (lead guest). Cancellation charges are calculated as follows from the date your written instructions are received.

If you have not arrived by 9am on the morning after your holiday was due to commence or contacted the Park concerned to confirm when you will arrive, except in exceptional circumstances, we will assume that the break is cancelled and the total holiday cost will be charged.

Is parking included?
Complimentary parking is available for all guests at our holiday parks. While some caravans and lodges have designated parking directly outside, this is not always guaranteed. Nevertheless, ample parking bays are conveniently located throughout our parks, ensuring a short and easy walk to your accommodation.
What time is check in?
Check in time is between 2-4 pm and is dependent on what accommodation you have booked. Early check in is available for an extra fee of £20 when you call the park directly. You can find your parks direct number on the contact us page.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Depending on which luxury holiday cottage you choose you’ll be required to pay a good housekeeping bond. The Farmhouse at Tyddyn Goronwy requires a £100 good housekeeping bond, The Barn requires a £350 good housekeeping bond and the Woodlands Retreat requires a £450 deposit.
Are dogs permitted in the cottages?
Yes, Dogs are permitted at some of our cottages but depending on each cottage there are certain restrictions.
At Woodlands Retreat, Sisial Y Mor and Cornel Glyd, you’re allowed up to two well behaved dogs. At The Barn, you’re also allowed dogs but they must be kept out of the bedrooms.
The Farmhouse at Tyddyn Goronwy unfortunately does not permit dogs in the property.
