Woodlands Retreat is dog friendly and can accommodate up to 8 guests, with 1 king size bedroom and ensuite, 2 double rooms and 1 twin room. But if that’s not big enough for you, you can also book additional guests into the Woodlands Hall Hotel or one of the caravans onsite. The cottage also has a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, hot tub and outdoor seating with a barbecue.
With it being located at Woodlands Hall Holiday Park, you get access to all the amenities available on the park, including; tennis courts, bar & restaurant, outdoor play area, football field and a dog walking field.
The cottage offers breathtaking views as it is nestled amongst the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley National Park, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You can enjoy these spectacular views right from your hot tub.
Within just a 10 minute drive is the ancient town of Ruthin which is embroiled in a rich history, evident from its grand buildings and nostalgic layout. There is also plenty of country walking to do with Moel Famau and Logger Heads Country Park just a stones throw away.
Situated in the quaint town of Ruthin at the heart of the Clwydian Range is our 19th century Woodlands Hall Hotel. Dating back to 1870 when it was first built, this building, like many of the buildings in Ruthin boasts a rich history, with elegant wood carvings throughout and a delightful black-and-white revival facade on the exterior. The former country club has been revamped to it’s former glory and now offers 6 luxurious rooms to stay in as you take in the picturesque views amidst this area of outstanding natural beauty.

There’s plenty of choice when it comes to Christmas Markets and light switch on’s in North Wales and Cumbria. If you’re in Manor House then we’d recommend the Ambleside light switch on which features fireworks and a lantern parade as well as plenty of Christmas stalls. The Hawkshead Christmas Fayre are also a must visit!
If you’re in North Wales then there’s plenty of Christmas Markets and Light switch on’s you can enjoy here too. The Rhyl Christmas light switch on is a great day out if you’re staying in Lido Beach. And there are some fantastic Christmas markets locally too. We’d recommend the Beaumaris Victorian Christmas at Beaumaris Castle which is an eerie step back in time to how Christmas used to be. There is also the very much hailed Llandudno Christmas markets if you’re staying at Lido Beach, or if you’re at Caerelwan or Moelfre View then the Port Meirion Christmas event is well worth a visit!
If it’s not the charming Cumbrian countryside, it’s the wonderous Welsh hills. We’re blessed that our parks are situated in some of the most breath-taking locations in the whole UK. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker, or just looking for a scenic location to take your four legged friend, there are paths and routes to suit any hiking ability.
If you’re looking to catch some beautiful snow topped tree’s we’d recommend Grizedale Forest, perfect if you’re staying at our Lake District caravan park; Manor House. On the other hand, if you’d like to take in the hills of Wales, we have plenty on offer too. Woodlands Hall is located right at the foot of the Clwydian Range, an area of outstanding beauty, with fantastic places to see such as Moel Famau and Loggerheads.

The latest member of the Beach Buddies is ZeZe! After Leo, Milo and Hetty enjoyed the delights of Mombasa Beach and the Chalbi desert on their backpacking trip through Kenya, they made a friend in ZeZe, the sassy, rockin’ and dazzling Zebra. ZeZe has a natural flair for playing any instrument available to her and she loves writing songs for her friends. Much to the delight of Hetty who loves a boogie.

A cheeky-chappie who loves to joke, Milo is enthusiastic about EVERYTHING! You will often see Milo bounding around park, full of energy. Milo absolutely loves all things bananas; Banana bread, banana
cookies, banana milk! Milo’s favourite dance move is the “banana split!”, letting his creativity shine when he’s rapping and dancing, Milo loves joining Hetty in making up new, cool moves. The laughter never stops when Milo is around with his funny jokes, friendly pranks and infectious chuckle! Milo’s good-nature and zest for
life, means you just want to be around him all the time.

Full of energy, Leo is a probably the coolest guy you’ll ever meet and he loves making new friends! You will often find Leo socialising with all his friends and hosting the best parties. Keeping active is Leo’s favourite way to spend his time! Leo will try any sport or activity from playing basketball and football to archery, becoming a master of them all! Smart, logical and grounded, Leo leads his Buddies, always thinking of games and exciting activities. You can’t help but smile when Leo is around.

The quietest of all her friends with a big imagination, Hetty always has the most fantastical, creative ideas and believes that all dreams can come true! Hetty can often be found dancing around park and making up new moves with Milo for her friends to join in all her dances. Hetty loves all things colourful and covered in sparkles, her favourite colour is pink… all shades of pink! Baby pink, bubble-gum pink, flamingo… She loves them all! Kind-hearted and loveable, Hetty loves to meet new friends and giving them all a big hippo hug. You can’t help but feel all warm and fuzzy when you meet Hetty.
