Yes, absolutely! You can choose your own plot! We want you to feel completely at home at your chosen holiday park, so selecting a pitch that suits your preferences is part of the experience. However, this is subject to a few practical considerations. The availability of plots can vary depending on the park, the time of year, and the size and layout of your holiday home will also play a key role in what’s suitable. It’s important to note that new development areas are reserved exclusively for brand-new holiday homes, and these plots may be allocated differently. Our team will guide you through the available options and help you find the perfect spot to begin your holiday home ownership journey.
Yes, all of our Lyons Holiday Parks are proudly dog friendly! We understand that dogs are part of the family, and we’re delighted to welcome your four-legged companions to enjoy the holiday experience with you. Whether it’s a stroll along the beach, a woodland walk, or simply relaxing on your holiday home decking, there’s plenty for pets to enjoy.
All we ask is that dogs are kept on a lead at all times while on park grounds for the safety and comfort of all guests. We also kindly request that owners clean up after their pets and use the waste disposal bins provided across all parks. With responsible ownership, everyone, including our furry friends can enjoy a safe, fun, and memorable stay.
Yes, subletting is allowed on many of our parks and can be a great way to earn extra income from your holiday home, especially if it’s a newer model with modern features that appeal to holiday guests. Some owners have earned a substantial return this way.
However, subletting is not permitted on owners-only parks, and policies can vary depending on the specific location. Our team will be happy to guide you through the options available and help you choose a park that suits your plans, whether you’re looking to sublet or keep it just for family use.
Yes, there is an age limit in place to help maintain high standards across our parks. For static caravans, the age limit is 20 years from the date of manufacture. Lodges have a longer lifespan, with a standard age limit of 30 years.
Once a holiday home reaches its age limit, the park manager will carry out an inspection to ensure it still meets health and safety requirements and overall park standards. If the holiday home is in good condition, you’ll be allowed to remain on the park, with further inspections carried out annually or sooner if needed.
Please note that pre-owned lodges may not always qualify for the full 30-year term — this is at the discretion of the park manager and based on the lodge’s condition at the time of purchase or review.
Absolutely! Holiday home ownership is all about making memories with the people you care about most. You’re more than welcome to invite friends and family to use your holiday home, whether you’re with them or letting them enjoy it on their own.
Many of our owners love being able to share the holiday experience — from weekend getaways to school breaks — with their loved ones. Just make sure anyone staying in your holiday home is aware of the park rules and treats the park with the same respect you would.
If you’re not on an owners-only park, you may also choose to sublet to friends and family for added flexibility.
It all depends on which park you’re staying at. Our holiday park seasons vary, ranging from 7½ month seasons to full 12 month access. Some parks are open year-round, including over Christmas and New Year, allowing you to enjoy your holiday home in every season.
If year-round access is important to you, we recommend speaking with our team to find the park that best suits your lifestyle and holiday plans. Whether you’re looking for seasonal escapes or the flexibility to visit whenever you like, we have an option to match.
Unfortunately, as our parks are holiday parks, holiday homes must be vacated for a short period each year in line with licensing regulations. This means you cannot use your holiday home as a permanent residence. For specific closure dates or requirements, we recommend contacting your chosen park directly, as these may vary slightly.
However, we’re excited to share that Lyons Ferrywood, our new residential park, is opening soon! This park will offer year-round living for those looking for a permanent home in a holiday-style setting. If full-time residency is something you’re interested in, speak to one of our friendly advisors for more information and availability.
Yes, holiday home prices can vary depending on the park location. If you’ve seen a specific price on our website, please note that it applies to the park listed. While we can relocate a caravan to your preferred park, the price may change based on the new location. Final pricing is at the park manager’s discretion and can be affected by factors such as demand, plot availability, and park facilities.
